About Denise
I got my start coordinating programs and outreach services at one of the most prestigious library systems in Michigan, Kent District Library. My work there was heavily focused on developing children’s early literacy skills and creating high-quality storytime programs.
In 2010, I completed my Masters in Library and Information Science at Wayne State University with a focus on public library services for children.
Over the past decade, I’ve developed exciting, hands-on STEAM programs for school-aged children. In recent years I’ve also created STEAM curriculums for toddlers and preschoolers.
I’ve always loved music and drama, so my storytimes for young children are incredibly music and movement based. My programs for older children are so fun they don’t even notice how much they’re learning!
